Tackling Al-Fayoum_ URBAN ARCHITECTURAL SPACE

For this project we were tasked to work as a team of 4 then divide ourselves into teams of two.

The Project in itself tackles the setting of Al Fayoum in Egypt. Normally Al Fayoum is a complete self dependant space devoid from Cairo's hustle and the challenge was to create an architectural function that not only adds to the space but doesn't disturb the peaceful green nature and life style of Al-Fayoum. ⸙͎。˚⋆ 𓋼

Firstly: The Territorial scale.
The analysing of the Fayoum Leaf.
Secondly: The Urban Landscape Scale.
Still as a Group we analyse all the possible landscaping language. Sometimes to highlight the urban settlements and its relation ship with the water, we come to the conclusion that there are different borders in Fayoum. The border of the urban Landscape cities, the agricultural border, the desert border  and the water connecting them to one another.

And thus the group divides into 2 pairs where we both focus on different areas where the borders meet.

When designing a project for an urban landscape me and my partner found it best to anchor our selves to the borders of the village of Tunnis in Fayoum, and the whole purpose was to design a multifunctional space that connects the people from the village to the water. This gave a chance to connect the people to the water and for establishing a boat route as well. Our first and foremost intention was for the people of Tunnis.
